Engelberg
A historic isolated village which grew up around a Benedictine monastery (established in 1120). The Swiss ski resort of Engelberg has direct access to 82km of downhill skiing, with 28 individual pistes, served by 26 ski lifts. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season. The longest trail from the Titlis glacier back down to the resort is 12km long.
Train leaves Engelberg around 18.00 and arrives back in Zurich around 20.00 – evening meal in hotel at 21.00
